I’m also on a bunch of other meds (steroids, Humira, etc.) and once I’m weaned off the steroids, I’m weaning off the Norco. I’ve been on Norco for 18 months (taking 3 or 4 per day) for a really bad autoimmune disease flare. Oxycodone isn't the only pain medication out there, don't demonize them ALL just because of ONE pushy company! Oxy still helps people! (Although I feel it's niche is acute pain, such as after surgery, chronic pain maybe not so much because of it's addictiveness, will only make hyper analgesia more common.Īnd man this makes me so sad. Take my award for saying what needed to be said with a huge THANK YOU. you get the stupidity of this whole thing. Now all pain medication, that's not morphine! That's OXY or Fentanyl? That's not Vicodin, that's Oxy or Fentanyl.
Oxy CAN be a decant medication for the right purposes, but in general to stop ALL pain medications because ONE manufacturer pushed a little too hard on their pain medication? It's almost as if they lumped all pain medication into that show dopesick (I haven't seen sorry, no TV). Long story short I swear there were more elderly folk simply cut off their medication than there were people addicted to Heroin. I had to prove I wasn't addicted before my first pain management wouldn't prescribe (Simple, but had to go to an addiction clinic). Stop this madness! Grandma and Grandpa are considering doing H because they can't get quality WORKING medication from their doctors? This is the real madness of the war on drugs. Please one more time for those in the back.
